Live Cricket Score - Bangladesh v Australia, 2nd T20I
2-0 lead
On a slow pitch that assisted spinners, Bangladesh put on a clinical performance to edge past Australia by five wickets in the second T20I in Dhaka. Afif Hossain and Nurul Hasan were the architects of the chase as the pair strung together an unbeaten stand of 56 to guide the side home. Meanwhile, Mustafizur Rahman took three for 23 runs from his quota of four overs.
Afif - Class and quality
Afif and Nurul have once again shown promise. Afif drove Starc through covers and gave a glimpse of his potential. 14 needed off 3 overs. From here, Bangladesh should win this game.
Spot of bother
Now, now... Mahmudullah has inside-edged a spinning delivery from Agar onto the stumps. The pitch continued to assist spinners with Zampa getting one to turn away to lure Mahedi out of the crease, with Wade whipping the bails off.
67 for 5 and in a spot of bother.
Shakib falls after aggressive hand
Shakib essayed a few fine boundaries while Mahedi smacked Zampa over long-off to give Bangladesh the required impetus after the early setbacks. Australia, though, made a comeback with Tye's trademark knuckle ball helping him to dismiss the dangerous Shakib. Australia just about keeping themselves in the game.
Early setbacks
The formidable pace pair of Starc and Hazlewood cleaned up Soumya and Naim respectively to keep Australia in the game. Bangladesh need a stand of substance.
Mustafizur and variations
The procession continued for Australia. Mustafizur cleaned up Wade and then employed the cutter to send Agar back to the pavilion. The delivery jumped on the batter, which once again indicates that it is a tricky wicket to bat on.
Turner too didn't last long, getting out to Shoriful. Eventually, Starc glanced one through fine leg to eke out a match needed boundary.
Australia finished with 121. Considering the conditions, it could still be a decent score.
